Dear Readers,

Thanks for continuing to be on my list.  Your presence means a lot to me. 

As I made quite clear in my blogs and in our conversations, I have been a strong Democratic, Obama and now Clinton supporter.  I know some of you are Trump supporters, and I congratulate you on your victory.  You have been waiting to be heard, and you have been - now I hope that as your party holds such enormous power, they will hear and be responsible to our side of the political fence.

I have grave fears about the character and temperament of the president-elect.  But I have faith in all of us - no matter where we are or what we do, we can all make a difference in the lives of our fellow-dwellers on Planet Earth, as long as we listen, care, think hard, and extend ourselves.

A Trump Presidency: The Empire Strikes Back

This summer, I penned a long essay, part of a book-in-progress, about insecurity, power, powerlessness and duality.  Elections make us understand duality and interdependence on a visceral, palpable level.  But we have to transcend those dualities to have peace and relatedness.  I hope to bring you news of the publication of my writing sometime soon.

Back to work.  And again, my thanks.  This is one of those moments that we could feel very alone.  But just like 9-11, our recent 11-9 is an event that we are all living through together, which somehow takes the edge off.  We are stronger together; it's just we don't yet know what true togetherness means.
