Hi all,

March brings more than the usual number of emails from me, because of CAAMFest, which runs March 10-20.  Here are my most recent blog posts about the festival.  My coverage of the festival experience itself will start this Friday, after Opening Night's TYRUS screening and party.  There are still tickets available.

Enter TYRUS50 code at checkout to receive the $50 Friends & Family rate for combo tickets! (Regular price is $65).  When you “enter promotion code” a new “guest” option will appear at the discounted rate.

I'd also recommend DAZE OF JUSTICE on Saturday at 3 pm.

For more on some great films, check out my rundown:

Memoirs of a Superfan Vol. 11.4:  Curations  "Cannes has nothing on CAAMmes."

Also, check out my interviews with the directors of two great documentaries.

Memoirs of a Superfan Vol. 11.2:  Everything Will Be,  by Julia Kwan.  About a changing Vancouver Chinatown.

Memoirs of a Superfan Vol. 11.3:  Ninth Floor, by Mina Shum, about protests against racism in 1969 Montreal.  “I hope my stories activate us personally….My job is to invite individuals to their own liberation and maybe they will seek that for others.”

I hope you enjoy my film writing!  After Friday, just click this link to catch up on my latest posts for CAAMFest!

Warmly,

Ravi
